Privacy policy: Bugoro sample app
Bugoro Chai (com.bugoro.sample) is the demo shop app that comes with Bugoro, an open source
QA tool for Android apps. This policy covers the release app on Google Play and the QA builds testers install.
The release app
The release app collects no personal data and shares none. It has no account, no ads and no analytics, and its Google Play Data safety section lists no data collected or shared.
- Checkout uses a fixed demo customer, so you never enter a name or address.
- Placing an order sends nothing: it is a demo. Your cart stays on your phone.
- The release build doesn't include the Bugoro SDK, only an empty version of its interface that does nothing.
QA builds for testers
Testers install QA builds (com.bugoro.sample.qa) from their team's Bugoro Hub, not from Google Play. QA builds include the Bugoro SDK.
- Pairing a QA build with a Hub sends the phone's model and Android version.
- The SDK sends a bug report only when a tester chooses to: they long press what looks wrong, add a note and send it, or say yes when the app offers to report a crash.
- A report holds a screenshot with password fields blacked out, the phone's model, Android version and display settings, the build, the tester's last screens and taps, and the app's recent log lines with email addresses, tokens and long numbers removed.
Reports go to the tester's team's Bugoro Hub and its GitLab project. What that Hub keeps, who can see it and for how long: Privacy at this Bugoro Hub.
